AI Logic Supported Languages
AI Logic, the optionalexplain feature that adds phrase-level explanations to AI detection results, is currently available for six of the languages above:
If you enable
explain for any other supported language, AI detection still runs and you get the normal result, just without AI Logic explanations. Scans submitted through the submit endpoints also receive the ai-insights-lang-unsupported scan alert in the completion webhook. The synchronous AI Text Detector endpoint has no alerts, so the explanations are simply absent. AI Logic is not available for source code files in any language.Frequently asked questions
How many languages does the Copyleaks AI Detector support?
The AI Content Detector supports 30 languages, each identified by its ISO-639-1 code (for exampleen, es, fr, zh-CN).
Do I have to specify the language for AI detection?
No. If you omit thelanguage field, Copyleaks automatically detects the language of the submitted content. Set language only when you want to force a specific one.
What language code format does the API use?
ISO-639-1 two-letter codes. Chinese is the exception, usingzh-CN for Simplified and zh-TW for Traditional.
Does the AI Detector support Chinese, Arabic, and Hebrew?
Yes. It supports Chinese (Simplifiedzh-CN and Traditional zh-TW), Arabic (ar), and Hebrew (he), among the 30 supported languages.
Which languages support AI Logic explanations?
Six: English (en), Spanish (es), French (fr), Portuguese (pt), German (de), and Italian (it). AI detection itself works in all 30 languages. For the other 24, turning on explain returns the regular detection result with no explanations. See AI Logic Supported Languages for details.
